Passwords, Privacy & Keystroke Dynamics
Date: December 2015 Publication: 9th International Conference on Passwords (Passwords15 London) Source: Currently no known Internet copy of paper. Abstract or Summary:
Keystroke dynamics measures the unique characteristics of how different people type. It can be used to augment authentication of users without changing user behavior. These same keyboard dynamics profiles can also be used to associate anonymous users to known identities, which may not be the user's desire. We have created a Google Chrome plug-in (named Keyboard Privacy) to automatically randomize keystroke timing to hinder unwanted tracking.
