Introducing the PRINCE Attack-Mode
Date: December 2014 Publication: 7th International Conference on Passwords (Passwords14 Trondheim) Source 1: https://hashcat.net/events/p14-trondheim/prince-attack.pdf Abstract or Summary:
Modern password hashing algorithms slow down cracking attempts as part of their design. Against these hashes each guess is more expensive, so attacks need to become more efficient. PRINCE (PRobability INfinite Chained Elements) was created as a more efficient password guessing algorithm, or attack mode, to improve password cracking results.
