Several technology threads are converging to provide customers with alternatives and complements to passwords for strong authentication. Although the one-time password (OTP) token has dominated the market for many years, the stage is set for significant change, from the perspective of both drivers for such change and options that address strong authentication. Key factors remain cost, scalability, and manageability.
