Study Overview:
Conducted by RSGB on their Omnibus Survey over the period 25 August to 5 September 2004. A nationally representative sample of 1,944 adults who access the Internet were interviewed, of whom 585 were accessing a current account or savings account online.

Statistics From This Study:

• Nearly 18% of users share their online banking password with someone else
• One-third of people keep a record of their passwords
• Only 4% of people think they would be fooled by a bank account phishing email
• Over half of Internet users have never changed the password they use online
• Survey finds 28% of online banking customers use their bank password at other Internet sites
