Entrust commissioned Greenfield Online to poll 2,000 Internet users from the United States, Canada, Germany and the U.K between August 16 and August 20, 2004. The respondents profile was representative of the general population with equal split on gender and age groups between 18 and 65+. The confidence interval of data collected is + or - 2.2%.

• A majority of Internet users are concerned about a criminal stealing their on-line identity
• People believe they would use more online banking services if their identities were better protected
• Some users would choose online banking institutions based on the organization's protection of their online identity
• Three-forths of people are willing to use two-factor authentication to better protect the online identities
