Help desks receive more password reset requests than desktop operating system or software requests

2004 survey respondents were asked "What percentage of your service requests fall into each of the following categories":
  • 17.2%
  • Password resets
  • 13.9%
  • Standard desktop software (for comparison)
  • 9.2%
  • Operating systems (for comparison)

    In 2003, survey respondents said that 14.8% of service requests were related to password resets.
