51% of EMEA companies surveyed cited the risk of crimes, such as electronic ID theft, as a cause of concern for organizations implementing biometric technologies for physical building security. 47% felt that technical malfunctions, such as staff being accidentally locked out of buildings, could be a potential problem area. 37% were worried about 'Big Brother' style abuses of the biometric information.
